Dadri stage-1 Hot start up
After shut down
1) Open CBD manual valve at firing floor and at 5.5 meter.
2) Open seal steam atmospheric drain. Ensure that AS-9 must be opened and all manual valves at local are opened.
3) Open strainers to IBD manual valve and ensure all MAL manual valves are opened
4) Open SB-26 manual valve from TG floor
5) Close E-2 , MS-1 and MS-2 close HP LP bypass also
6) Open All Mal drains
7) Open CBD motorised valve
8) Close SH and RH spray valve
9) Ensure AOP running, ensure starting of JOP at 510 RPM and gate valve gearing at speed less than 200 RPM
Hot Start up
10) Adjust air flow to 350 t/hr
11) Ensure all purge per missives are coming if not then drum level can be simulated
12) Start purging
13) From unit 1 asked them to take second LDO pump in service
14) Open HOTV and LOTV, close OFD & reduce SADC to 30 %.And WB dp at 50.
15) Take LDO guns with repeated command
16) Take HFO guns at CD elevation ,also start APH soot blowing
17) If ignition permit ready then increase air flow and start PA fans
18) Start seal air fan (it will come in auto )
19) Take mill B in service slowly increase load
20) If ignition permit ok for mill C then start it also and wait for temp rise
21) Open MS-1 and MS-2, Charge HP AND LP bypass. HRH PR maintained at 15 KSC
22) Ensure both CEP and both vacuum pump are running
23) Seal steam must be charged
24) Level of CST, hotwell and deaerator should be adequate
25) Reset generator tripping by resetting all relays
26) Bring Starting device to zero and speeder gear to 100%
27) Load gradient and controller ON
28) Set load limiter at 50 MW and load reference at 30 MW and Load gradient at 30 dp/dt
29) Close MAL-11 and MAL-12.
30) Ensure criteria of LT01,LT02,AND LT03
MS TEMP AT TURBINE INLET
MIN ------ MID METAL TEMP OF HPCV+ 50 DEGREE
MAX ------ MID METAL TEMP OF HPCV+ 150 DEGREE
31) If ok then raise starting device between 40 to 50 % stop valve will opened( step -5 of ATRS)
32) Ensure criteria of LT04 and LT05 are satisfied
MS
TEMP AT TURBINE INLET
MIN ------ MID METAL TEMP OF HP CASING + 40 DEGREE
MAX ------ MID METAL TEMP OF HP CASING+ 800 DEGREE
33) first open MAL 11 AND MAL12 then raise speed set point to 540 rpm
34) Turbine speed more than 250 rpm turning gear should be off and at speed more than 540 rpm JOP should be taken out.
35) At this moment inform switchyard to connect isolator of generator breaker.

If criteria of LT06 is
satisfied i.e.
MAX STEAM TEMP < MID METAL TEMP OF HP CASING + 100
DEGREE
37) Raise speed set point to 3000 rpm with constant watch on turbine parameters and close mal-11 and12
38) Around 2800 rpm aop will cut off
39) For synchronisation ensure criteria LT07 satisfied i.e. HRH steam temp – IP shaft temp become less than specified curve X-7
40) Close generator field breaker,field flashing supply will come with an alarm
41) Adjust generator voltage to 16.5KV by adjusting AUTO knob.
42) Made Synchronizer on.
43) Adjust speed set point
44) Close GENERATOR breaker
45) Raise load set point so that machine comes in load controller mode if it still not coming then slightly reduce speed reference point
