Stopping one FD Fan

1 Reduce the load to 400 MW & then remove from CMC
2 Before Unloading FD Fan (to be stopped ),The following
Permissive & Protection to be kept bypassed :
“FD Fan ON & Discharge Gate close” permissive to be given
“FD Fan ON & Discharge gate auto open” to be bypassed.

“FD Fan ON & Discharge gate close” protection to be bypassed
“FD trip to ID trip” to be bypassed
3 “PA permit from FD Fan” to all running Mills & stand by Mills to be provided. (Take clearance from C&I )
4 Keep 5 Mills in service. Keep at least 4 consecutive Mills in service
5 Start reducing slowly the blade pitch of FD fan to be stopped. Monitor its suction flow & current. While reducing blade pitch, Total air Flow to be monitored.
6 Monitor loading of other FD Fan in auto. Monitor its current. (Rated current of FD Fan is 106 A)
7 Ensure Total air flow at any point should always be greater than 1100 TPH
8 Reduce FD Fan (to be stopped ) blade pitch to minimum (< 5 % )
9 Give close command to discharge gate. As soon as discharge gate close feedback came Stop FD Fan. During Discharge gate closing , keep in continuous communication with local operator
10 Keep one Mill CAD/HAD pop up ready to open it in case Total air Flow shows alarming downward trend.
11 Normalise the permissive & protection which is kept bypassed above in S.No 2
12 Raise the load as far as possible
