Stopping one ID Fan


  1. Reduce Load to 300MW
  2. Start Unloading corresponding FD fan & increase loading of other FD Fan through blade pitch.
  3. Check for increase in suction flow & current of Fan (Which is to be kept in service )
  4. Follow SOP for stopping FD Fan
  5. After stopping FD Fan ,unload the corresponding ID fan gradually by reducing its IGV & VFD demand. Observe Furnace draught
  6. Before Stopping the ID fan & Ensure other ID fan got loaded in auto.
  7. Stop the ID fan once it is unloaded completely
  8. Close inlet & outlet gate of ID fan if required.
