EHTC TO HYDRAULIC CHAGE=OVER & VICE-VERSA

GUIDELINES FOR EHTC to Hydraulic changeover procedure

EHTC to Hydraulic changeover Procedure:
  • If unit is running on CMC mode, take the machine out of CMC preferably by taking Air master into manual. Ensure Fuel master goes to manual. Kept machine in load control mode.
  • Ensure CMC indication in EHTC mimic shows OFF.
  • Switch off tracking device.
  • Raise load reference 10 – 20 MW greater than actual load, EHC output will start increasing and finally ,it will go to maximum. While increasing EHC output, if HP secondary/IP secondary oil pressure remains constant means machine is operating in hydraulic mode.
  • After EHTC output gets saturated at 100% close EHTC isolating valves at governing rack.
  • Use starting device to make any change in load.
Hydraulic to EHTC changeover Procedure:
  • Ensure load controller is ON and speed set point is tracking actual speed by +15 rpm.
  • Ensure load control is active.
  • Raise manual load reference Pr slightly beyond actual load.
  • Ensure Prmax is not limiting pr.
  • Match throttle pressure set point to actual pressure.
  • Load controller output and EHTC output goes up to 100%.
  • After EHTC output reaches 100% normalise EHTC isolating valves in governing rack.
  • Reduce manual load reference Pr to slightly less than actual load.
  • Load controller output and consequently EHTC output gradually reduces and starts controlling load.
  • Raise starting device & put in tracking
